Gulf Traffic Week 2025

The 37th edition of the Unified Gulf Traffic Week for the year 2025, under the slogan “Driving without a phone,” will witness the participation of the State of Kuwait alongside the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in many events aimed at assessing the application of traffic systems and laws to reduce accidents and problems and address their causes.

The General Directorate of Traffic also honored the contributors during the opening of the Unified Gulf Traffic Week, and the Director General of the Federation, Major General Engineer Eng. Tariq Al-Dosari, received a gift from the Federation of Car Dealers as he was one of the contributors to the Unified Gulf Traffic Week.

?What is Gulf Traffic Week

It is an educational and awareness-raising activity aimed at unifying traffic regulations across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

The activities of the Unified Gulf Traffic Week in Kuwait include

  • Meetings between participating countries to discuss traffic systems, exchange experiences in their implementation, and explore the best and latest technologies in the field of traffic.
  • Seminars and awareness campaigns to highlight the consequences and dangers of disregarding traffic rules.
  • Educational lectures in educational institutions to promote traffic awareness and increase knowledge and understanding of its importance in preserving life.
  • Exhibitions showcasing the latest traffic equipment and technologies, along with awareness programs and courses for participants and visitors.
  • Visiting victims of traffic accidents in hospitals and health centers to check on their well-being and encourage them to increase their traffic awareness and adhere to traffic regulations.
  • Utilizing communication channels, including social media, radio, and television programs, to disseminate accurate traffic culture and clarify the difference between disregarding traffic rules and their proper application.

The slogan for the Unified Gulf Traffic Week in Kuwait

The conference announcing the activities of Traffic Week saw the unveiling of the slogan for its 37th edition: “Driving Without a Phone.” This slogan was chosen due to the high rate of accidents and traffic violations caused by using mobile phones while driving. This edition will witness broad participation from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and traffic experts.

The objectives of the Unified Gulf Traffic Week in Kuwait are as follows

To promote traffic safety awareness and culture for all.

To raise awareness about the dangers of using mobile phones while driving and the resulting traffic accidents and congestion.

To enhance drivers’ awareness of the efforts made by security agencies and traffic departments to maintain traffic order and reduce violations.

To exchange expertise and learn about the latest technologies used in the field of traffic and their effectiveness.
